Notebook computer sales booming in India
As per statistics published by Manufacturers’ Association of Information Technology (MAIT), India’s notebook computer sales have grown from 431,834 numbers in FY 2006 (Financial Year from April to March) to 850,859 numbers in FY 2007. Sales in the first half of FY 2008 (April to September 2007) were reported at 683,761 numbers – a growth of 59% over corresponding period in previous year.
