India desktop sales estimated at 5.55 million numbers in FY 2008
As per statistics published by Manufacturers’ Association of Information Technology (MAIT), India’s desktop sales in FY 2008 (Financial Year from April to March) are estimated to be 5.55 million numbers. Desktop sales in the first of half of FY 2008 (April to Sept 2007) were reported at 2.599 million numbers. Sales in FY 2008 represent only a 1% growth from FY 2007 sales volumes of 5.49 million numbers.
