The investment reached $12.9bn in the year 2008 after experiencing a moderate growth rate of 2.3%. The investment is expected to reach $13.1bn by the year 2012.

France infrastructure investment in transport sector to reach $13.2bn by 2012

Shanghai to spend over US$73 billion on infrastructure by 2010

The Shanghai Construction and Transport Commission announced that Shanghai will witness urban infrastructure construction spending with a total investment of 500 billion Yuan (US$73.22 billion) by 2010. Plans include building budget houses, improving traffic, waste-water treatment and village facilities in the suburbs, extending rail and highway connections, expanding the city’s mass-transit system.
